Server online without lag

We received some reports that the BF3 server was lagging like hell.
The company has reacted on the problems and changed some routering for us.

Theres a problem with the fiberglass connection in the datacenter which may cause some increased loading times of the websites or showing some minor bugs or in worst case a failure to load the site. There has been reported a cut in at least one fiberglass line.

Update 19:00: seems like not only webservers have problems but also gameservers and other servers using the fiberglass lines. This means theres also lagg on gameservers hosted in the Netherlands.
The network engineers from the the bigger suppliers are working on the problem and will try to fix it asap.

Changes in the squad

This new year comes with some changes.
Battlefield 3 is from now on the main game within the 107th.

Trackmania will be dropped.
This has to do with no activity.
The gameserver has been turned off-line.

CoD series will be dropped.
This has to do with no activity and no Teamleader.

Battlefield 3 the main game? What does this mean?

The BF3 server will stay on-line as long as possible.
We have received donations to keep it on-line until may 2012.
Donations are always welcome.
Contact gasemans for bank or paypal information.

We are proud to say that Gadget has returned as teamleader for BF3.
He and Sticky will organise training sessions, matches and everything that has to be done.

Website downtime

As many have noticed the website was down from the 27th till the morning of the 28th. This morning we have replaced the whole site with a backup from the 27th right before it went offline.

Reason for the downtime was a move of the website to a new and faster cluster which caused some troubles with the nameservers. The problem has been solved and the website should work even better now then it did before :)
We appologise for the time the website was unreachable.

Tonight testing new TS3 server

The TS3 server you will connect to is the new TS3 server.
It is still in test and the only admin is gasemans.

The server is being moved to a virtual machine.
This has been done to make maintenance easier.

The IDLE tool and more will be available later this week.

With this we also have a new URL active for the teamspeak
TS3.107th.eu:9000
The old one will stay active for some time but will disappear somewhere in 2012.

Any problems? Please report them to gasemans.

Some how it thinks there is no space left

Panther is working on it at the moment.

if you can't make it to our lanparty this time you can still see the LAN scene right here. We don't have a big internet line so a live stream is not possible but the lanparty camera's will upload a new image every 60 seconds so you don't have to miss a thing. Be sure to check the forums for a newspost of all webcams at the lan. We will setup multiple cams tomorrow before we start building the lanscene.

Guests on the Teamspeak server

I would like to inform you all that we have some guests on the Teamspeak server.
It is a WOW team called Warriors of the Lions.

They have received their own sub-channel in the WOW section.

I ask everyone to be nice to them at all times.
And we expect the same from them.
If there are problems then report them to Gasemans.

And nobody start with i am a teamleader or something like that.
there is only one Boss on the teamspeak and i think every one knows who that is.

We will be taking the Trackmania Server down for a few hours today. This will allow us to upgrade the server to be using the Manialive Dedicated server system, which in turn means we can make our server freezones, and also gives support for TM2

Webserver maintenance

Next Friday our webserver will be moved to a new datacenter.
The website should stay online but it is possible that our site will be unreachable sometimes due to this move.

The server will be moved Friday the 22nd somewhere in between 21:00 and 24:00 UTC+2

Allianz Netherlands gets Mercedes GP to Bavaria City Racing (BCR)

Worlds biggest car insurance company Allianz brings the Mercedes GrandPrix team to Rotterdam(NED) on Sunday 21st august. During the BCR the Ross Brawn team will create several spectacular demonstrations. Last edition of the BCR more then 100.000 people witnessed the event that is now the biggest public event in the Netherlands.

This year is the first time the current number 5 constructors from the Formula 1 Championship will attend in the Harbour city. In 2011 the Mercedes GP team rides with Nico Rosberg and seven times world champion Michael Schumacher. Since the start of the 2011 Formula 1 season the Allianz Group partnered up with the Mercedes GP team, and can be seen on the HANS-systems of the drivers and the seatbelts of the cars. The BCR organisation can not confirm which driver will race through the Dutch cities in August.

TrackMania 2

We have been doing research for TM2, and it's looking very nice.

Things we know about it so far:
- Pre-Made tracks are made by Nadeo and not by community.
- The game is running perfectly even on micro laptops (with bad graphics card for example)
- The game will be only available online, there is no packed version
- There will be a NO free version (But it will not be expensive )
- The editor has many more blocks and much more variation
- Cars have heavier steering
- Editor has Easy/Advanced option as before.
- Up to 200 players can play against each other online
- You can enter tags , with them you can go directly to tm-tube, tm-exchange or tm-carpark INGAME! ( this manialinks are marked blue in the game)
- Similar idea to coppers, with which you can buy adverts for track etc.
-Full ranking system as before, and achievements.

COD Black Ops Escalation Pack DLC revealed

A retailer in Australia may have revealed the title, maps and release date for the next Call of Duty Black Ops DLC map pack. VG247.com reports that the GAME Australia web site posted a flyer (since taken down) for the Escalation Pack.

According to the flyer the map pack will contain five new maps for Treyarch's hit first person shooter, including one more new zombie themed map. The flyer hints that one of the maps takes place in a zoo. It says the map pack will be released on May 3 for the Xbox 360. It's likely the PC version will be released about a month or so later.
